“Every penny counts and every pound makes a difference to somebody with a neurological disorder and physical disability.”
Our aim is to enable children and adults suffering neuro-developmental and co-ordination difficulties, brain injury, spinal damage or long-term neurological disorders to participate in physical exercise and rehabilitation programmes.
The CLEAR Trust exists to raise funds to:
- advance the treatment and care of children and adults with brain/spinal injuries and long-term neurological disabilities of any description
- provide and assist in the provision of exercise and rehabilitation facilities and equipment
- fund research and education in clinical exercise and rehabilitation science.
“All the money we receive goes towards the provision of treatment, equipment and research.”
We are currently supporting several programmes, working with people of all ages suffering a wide range of clinical conditions affecting their mobility, functionality and quality of life.
The Trust raises funds to pay for equipment and facilities at Oxford Brookes University, in particular specialist, whole-body rehabilitation equipment with wheelchair access.
We fund the annual Summer and Winter Games for children with developmental and coordination difficulties.
On a weekly basis we provide financial support to enable children with severe cognitive and physical disabilities to participate in exercise activities from which they would be otherwise excluded.
