We are delighted to announce that international rugby player, Mike Brown (Harlequins and England) has agreed to act as special Ambassador for the CLEAR Trust during the 2015/16 season and beyond. Mike is currently playing for England in the Rugby World Cup, and in the opening game displayed the outstanding, man-of –the-match winning form that compelled the public to vote him RBS 6 Nations Player of the Championship in 2014.
Mike developed an interest in brain and spinal injury after suffering concussion during the 6 Nations tournament earlier this year. He has since made a complete recovery however, Mike has a deeper personal interest in the work of the CLEAR Trust because his father is occasionally wheelchair dependent due to multiple sclerosis.
After the World Cup Mike hopes to meet some of the children we work with, and pay a visit to the CLEAR Unit at Oxford Brookes University. In the meantime we wish him and the England team every success.
